THEME 1
East Asia has many cities, towns and villages near waterways (rivers, lakes, and the ocean). Much money and effort has gone into projects and programs that stop plastic waste from entering these waterways. Here’s your shot at finding an organization that’s doing a great job. Learn More
THEME 2
Our thesis is simple: Many organizations are doing great work in East Asia, many of them in local “obscurity.” In other words, their laudable, praiseworthy and potentially scalable projects and programs do not travel, so to speak, beyond local or even regional participants, receive much press coverage, and rarely are shared from one country to another. Your team should ‘make the case” that this project or program deserves greater attention, and that it should be replicated throughout East Asia in similar cities, towns and villages. Learn More
$1,000 Prize: 30 May*
All student teams who submit Case Studies are eligible to win the Plastic Atlas Asia Insights Prize award. Your entry is scored and counts towards each team’s final score to determine the teams that move forward to the finals. Learn More
*Note: Teams that submit by 30 May are eligible for this prize. All teams must submit entry by 30 June as their “Insights” score will be added to the Case Study score to determine finalists.
